Why invest in a Family Photography or Movie/Film session?
Short Answer: Family plays a crucial role in our lives. Time flies. Memories are precious.
Long Answer: I had a wonderful childhood. I was born and grew up in my Grandparents’ home in India, where there used to be about 25 people living in our home, including my parents, aunts, uncles. A few elderly people also used to live in our home then. And we had a few servants and their families as well living with us.
You might ask “Are you a king?”, “Is your home a palace or something?”. Well, no. Those days, my grandparents and parents were running a restaurant 7 days a week. Our restaurant was famous in the town. Most employees and graduate students in the town used to dine in our restaurant. You can imagine that though my grandfather was a restaurant business owner, he had a huge network.
I experienced wonderful love from my family as a child. Every day was like a picnic for me, playing with my aunts, uncles and school buddies. I played a lot. I also studied a lot. I excelled in my school in everything including Studies, Cricket, Chess and other games/competitions. I was double promoted from Grade 7 to Grade 9 by my school teachers then due to my brilliance, they said. I believe this was all due to the love of my family, more than my skill or intelligence, that enabled me to perform to my best potential then.
My beautiful childhood memories also helped me guide through many struggles in my life later on. I wish I have more photos or movies from my childhood that I could hang on my wall in my living room and look at often. ART INSPIRES!
A meaningful artwork not only gives joy for the moment, but becomes endearingly valuable with passing of time and turns into a huge treasure in 10, 20 or 50 years from now! Besides, such artwork can speak words of affirmation to everyone in the family, especially more to the growing children, and become a guiding compass in our lives as we navigate through this rough world in future.
Why hire a Licensed Professional Photographer?
Most of us have sophisticated phones and great cameras. Services like Professional photography is not meant to replace your personal photography skills and equipment, but to complement and complete your beautiful memories.
Do you really treasure your photos that you shot with your phone 5 or 10 years ago, that you often see or frame them or feel inspired by them? Or do they just pile up in your phone unexplored and unseen for ages?
What about composition? What about lighting? What about posing (or un-posing)? What about just the fun and bonding experience with your family as I shoot? A good photograph or movie shot by a professional licensed photographer is worth for many many decades. A dedicated session makes a DIFFERENCE.

- I work full-time in the oil/gas industry and I am a Dad of a beautiful 4 year old little gal. So, I plan and manage my time effectively and value your time as you value my time.

Can I see your Portfolio?
I am honored to have shot hundreds of memorable family pictures among various communities in Calgary in the past 15+ years. I am privileged and excited to see that my photographs have been hanging on walls in many homes. Stay tuned for for my Portfolio. For now, please look at my home page to get a glimpse of my work. I heard you capture free photos from time to time. When next?
Good question. I do it exclusively for various small communities from time to time with absolutely no business expectations.
Having said that, I cannot promise free sessions to everyone for the following reasons:
- Photography/Filmmaking is a valuable creative gift. Those who understand it will value the creative gift and effort of photographers/filmmakers/artists. I don’t think it is a good ethic for me to capture photographs for free forever for everyone, degrading the creative value of other photography/filmmaking professionals.
- I have a family, including a beautiful 4 year old daughter. Time away from her, while I am shooting and editing photographs need to be considered.
I like the name “ZOEful ART”. It is unique and catchy. Story behind it?
Thank you for your feedback. It is named after my beautiful little daughter Zoey, which actually is inspired from the Greek word Zoe meaning “Joyful Eternal Life of Christ”.
